INTIMATE BLEACHING

Vissia offers effective solutions to even skin tone, boost your confidence, and achieve your aesthetic goals.

Here at Vissia, we offer intimate bleaching that allows you to create a uniform color on your darkened intimate areas. The results you can achieve will vary from one person to another and depend largely on the natural color of your skin.

Our intimate bleaching treatments are performed in two phases: the first in our office, and second at home. The first in-office phase involves the application of a blended acid peel. This peel lightens up the desired area dramatically.

The second phase uses a pigmentation inhibiting cream that is applied periodically at home. This cream maintains and furthers the lightening process that the peel started.

We have three different creams that you can choose from based on your skin sensitivity and aesthetic goals.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the Intimate Bleach process take?

A single session takes about 15 minutes to one hour depending on the areas(s) being treated. For optimum results, we recommend a program of six sessions. The pre-conditioning period varies depending on the degree of hyper-pigmentation. The post-procedure conditioning and healing lasts from five to seven days.

Is Intimate Bleaching safe?

If done without medical supervision, any product that would give results could be unsafe, which is why you should seek a physician-led team for this process rather than purchasing products over the internet. If unsupervised, the use of kojic acid and hydroquinone could cause topical burns or anal strictures (scars that cause constipation). Bleaching agents should be titrated up very slowly under the guidance of a physician who can monitor for any abnormalities, but they are generally regarded as safe. All agents are for external use only, and should not be applied to any wet surfaces such as inside the vagina. Also note that dark skin on the back of the neck or underarms could be a condition called acanthosis nigricans, a marker for underlying diabetes or cancer, and this is why an examination by a physician is of utmost importance.

What is the downtime?

For genital bleaching, you should abstain from intercourse or oral sex immediately afterward. You should also avoid saunas, baths, hot tubs and shaving for the next 72 hours. Be sure to wash off any at-home cream before becoming intimate. And if you show no signs of irritation after three days, it’s game on with your lover.

How does pigmentation occur?

Melanocytes (pigment cells) are the cells responsible for giving the skin it’s color. When the discoloration process begins, the cells become dark in the center. Over time, these pigment cells mature and develop pitted arms with extenders that project the sides. Then this process is spreading to neighboring cells resulting in larger patches of skin discoloration. Discoloration of intimate areas can be caused by aging, genetics, hormonal changes from pregnancy or environmental causes.

How often do I get Intimate Bleaching?

After the treatment you will notice the skin lightening one to two shades immediately. Depending on your melanin depth, you may need additional treatments and, over time, you can expect to lighten up to six shades with consecutive treatments. For best results, we will create a consistent regimen specifically for you to return for regular skin bleaching services and intimate facials at one of our locations.
